Review : Advertlets.com
You would probably have noticed by now the couple of Advertlets.com hosted ads on my blog. The first one was added in on 16th August. Just about two weeks ago.
A brief background of Advertlets to my understanding. Advertlets.com is a blog advertising network.
It displays relevant advertisements on blogs. It sells advertisers blog space. The higher your blog traffic, the better, and surprisingly, there is no minimum traffic requirement. There are also polls for blogger to understand their audience, but I have not tried that. I personally prefer the ads only. I'll only add them in future if needed.
Frankly, I'd only added Advertlets as a second thought. The only blog network I had heard of that hosted ads was Nuffnang. I'd simply added Advertlets, forgot about it and was paying attention to Nuffnang. To me, Advertlets was just a rectangular square on my sidebar. Then within a couple of days I saw a Mahattan Fish Market restaurant ad appeared! Cool, I love to dine at Mahatten Fish Market restaurant in Plaza Singapura! This is so refreshingly different from international ads, man. Then there was the RoomsDB ads for property in Singapore. Another ad calling for kind-hearted souls to support blogger YvonneFoong's medical fees. And another one- Malay blogs! These ads will randomly switch around, and you never know what new stuff you gonna see.
As my blog traffic is no where as fierce as those power blogger, I'm just taking it slowly but steadily, waiting for my first little cheque from Advertlets.com. Heh heh.. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for my Nuffnang ads to be served. I admire their idea, neat logo and site. However, I'm not seeing anything yet. Well, I'll still keep things the way they are on my blog for the time being.
Guess what? I plan to use the first cheque from Advertlets for a seafood in a pan treat. Yum!
